Riverspan Unfortunately, the organizers of Riverspan Sculpture Exhibition and Sale in Cincinnati
were forced to call off the show this year. They hope to find new sponsorship next year.

On the weekend of August 6-9 I will attend Sculpture in the Park in Loveland, CO.

In the fall of 2009 I began experimenting on some small pieces combining
glacial stones and bronze. I have been cutting, grinding and polishing facets of the granite and other glacial stone. The work was a good excuse for buying some new tools. It waits for warmer weather for stone work, a chance to work with wax and a trip to Mark Parmenter's White River Foundry.

I have been enjoying taking part in the Columbus Indiana Iron Pour sponsored by the Columbus Arts Council. It has been a chance to get to know a great group of artists, to try some new, non clay ideas and develop some new skills. The piece at the right is a piece from 2009 combining iron and a black granite stone. It is about 2.5' tall.
